Training Centre Staff

The Training Centre Builds Skills for the Future

Heather Grant-Jury

Heather Grant-Jury is the Director of UFCW Local 832’s Training Centre. Prior to joining the Training Centre in 2004, she was president of the Winnipeg Labour Council for many years. Heather is a certified union referral counsellor and an experienced trainer of shop stewards and union leaders. She has established a reputation as a defender of workers’ rights and is a strong advocate of labour issues.

Heather has always been an advocate of further education and believes the Training Centre has a role to play in members’ life-long learning. “We empower members through continuing education. We are a model for adult education in Canada. We offer practical, hands-on, adult-oriented training and education programs in a wide array of areas and we hope you will take advantage of what we have to offer” says Heather.

Heather and her staff team are here to respond to the training needs of Local 832 members throughout the province.
