New Agreement for Coke Members in Brandon

July 12, 2018

The Coca-Cola UFCW members working at the Brandon plant voted yes, by 92 per cent, to accept a new four-year collective agreement. Their colleagues from the Winnipeg plant had recently ratified their new agreement as well. Included in the new contract:

A total of a 6.25 per cent wage increase for all classifications during the four years
A one-time $400 lump sum payment for all full-time employees
Increase to pension benefits, short-term disability benefits, and footwear allowance
New wording for on-call premium for service technicians.

“The committee recommended acceptance of this new deal to the members and the high yes vote shows the members agreed that it is a good agreement,” said lead union negotiator Martin Trudel.

The Coca-Cola Brandon plant is the central location for all Coca-Cola products before being distributed to the Westman areas.  Our members receive, repackage, and build loads in the warehouse and the drivers deliver Coca-Cola product all over Westman, including in Brandon.
