Fort LaBosse School Divisiion (Custodial & Maintence) negotiations update
More negotiations scheduled for July 29 & August 5.
The negotiating committee met with your employer on June 17 and 29, 2010. We presented our proposals on the 17 and the employer gave us a full response on June 29. They had no proposals of their own, except in response to ours.
The union agreed on several non-monetary items, including improvements to the health and safety language, job postings, mileage, and compassionate care leave. No monetary items were agreed.The employer has indicated they are not prepared to make any improvements on benefits and they have yet to table a wage offer.They are also not able to commit to combining all three Fort La Bosse collective agreements next year when the Adminstrative Assistants and Bus Drivers expire (June 2011). They have suggested all three memberships vote on this question before they give their answer.
We expect to begin a full discussion on all outstanding monetary issues on July 29 and August 5.
