On April 11, 2005 UFCW Local 832 President Robert Ziegler welcomed Blake Crothers as the new Communications Director of the Manitoba Local.

Blake takes care of all the communications for the local producing a monthly magazine and updating the unions website. He also deals with all of the media inquiries for the local.

Blake spent a number of years in Sudbury Ontario working for the Retail, Wholesale Department Store Union as a Special Projects Representative.
